Resorts: How to Use QR Codes to Attract More Customers

QR codes are the latest great customer attraction tool. And for good reason. But, how can you use them to attract more customers to your resort? Let’s take a look.

But, first things first…

What is a QR code?

QR codes are similar to the bar codes most of us in the US are very familiar with. And, they work in relatively the same way.

A QR code is made up of little black blotches arranged in a specific way on a white square background. They look somewhat like the one pictured above.

They can be programmed to do a variety of different things and are fairly simple to create.

Once created, the QR code is strategically placed so that a potential, or current, customer has access to it.  They can then scan it to their mobile phone using the phone’s camera and a downloadable app which enables the code to be read.

The code then does whatever you’ve programmed it to do… like take the customer to a specialized webpage, coupon, or other promotion.

Now that you have a basic knowledge of what a QR code is, let’s take a look at some ways you can use them to attract customers to your resort.
